Ali has vast experience with all stages of software and portal development, from both the technical and business perspectives. After graduating from the University of California in Davis with a Mathematics degree, Ali joined Digital Island, a small network services company, as a web engineer. Ali was a key member of the team that took the company from 25 people to 2000 people and an IPO, building complex web reporting software first as a programmer and then later as a manager and product designer.

After the company’s purchase by Cable and Wireless, Ali was promoted through the ranks to be Director of Product Management, where he was responsible for developing a 10 million dollar application management product line. After leaving Cable and Wireless, Ali took on various projects as a consultant and wrote articles for newspapers on technology and current affairs before co-founding SalesTeamLive with Gary.

Ali has developed over 20 complex web applications throughout his 15 year career, and he brings a keen understanding of project management and the software lifecycle to the team.
